Bootleg CD News out of Japan over the weekend...Tarantura has announced their next couple of LED ZEPPELIN titles..."We're Unknown" 2CD will feature a more complete tape of the Miami audience source tape from February 14, 1969..."Jupiter And Saturn Alright Tonight" 3CD is also said to feature a more complete soundboard tape of the Seattle Kingdome concert on July 17, 1977 - as most releases utilize the Proshot video soundtrack, this may be more interesting than it would seem at first glance even though it's not a stellar performance from Mr. Plant...stay tuned.  Reel Masters will issue a pair of audience tapes of KING CRIMSON..."Improvisations" 2CD will offer up live recordings from Oxford, UK on November 25th, 1972 and from The Technical College located in Hull, England on November the 10th, 1972.  Just announced today from Darker Than Blue is the DEEP PURPLE 4CD set, "Knock The Truckin'", which will feature live soundboard recordings from Stadio Comunale in Turin, Italy on September 21, 1988 and from Eissporthalle in Kassel, Germany on September 24th, 1988 featuring the reunited MK II line-up of  RITCHIE BLACKMORE, IAN GILLAN, ROGER GLOVER, JON LORD and IAN PAICE.

Out of Japan late last week came news from Mid-Valley regarding their plans for the 8CD ERIC CLAPTON Box Set, "Legends"...the set will include three different soundboards, described as "flawless",  taped during his brief stint in joining the Legends Jazz Tour in 1997, we have recordings here of the Montreux Jazz Festival on July 4th, North Sea Jazz Festival on July 11th and also includes the band’s performance at the Gasteiz Jazz Festival in Vittoria, Spain on July 17th, 1997.  Hopefully that last board tape in Spain will feature the storied, fantastic jam with ROBERT CRAY that was missing from the EC Is Here Label version "Snakes - The Legends".  In other box set news...Dog N' Cat Records plan on issuing THE ROLLING STONES "Bigger Bang Box", an 12CD set featuring all the board/ALD tapes from the Japan Tour stops in Tokyo(2 shows), Sapporo, Nagoya and Saitama(2 sources) in March and April of 2006.  I don't know about you but talking about Bigger Bang and the Japanese shows is also getting old...On with the tour already and on with our lives...

The Godfather Records family of labels have a really stellar Spring/Summer release schedule happening...From The Godfather Records in July, they are re-issuing one of their premier releases that goes back a few years - IRON MAIDEN "Remember Nagoya", a single CD soundboard recorded live in Nagoya on May 23rd, 1981, during their Killer Tour...the disc has been given a brand new color trifold cardboard sleeve so look for that hitting the streets over the next week or so...Also on CD from the Moschino Label is a U2 first on boot CD, "An Emotional Goodbye" 2CD set taped from soundboard at Wembley Stadium in London on August 22, 1997 on the last stop of the PopMart Tour...A slew of titles coming in July on DVD from Apocalypse Sound: METALLICA "20 Years From Puppets" is a proshot video of the band performing their entire masterpiece, Master Of Puppets LP at The Rock Am Ring Festival in Nurburgring, Germany on June 3rd, 2006...DEPECHE MODE "Bright Lights On The Ring" also captures the band at Rock Am Ring, this proshot performance on the 4th of June...  KISS "The Inner Sanctum" celebrates their 1980 Australian Tour by compiling a string of Australian TV source video documents that include the near complete November 22, 1980 concert at Hordon Pavilion on The Showgrownds in Sydney, plus a September 7th KISS Countdown Special along with a September 14th Australia Tour Countdown Special (sources tell me there is much more to come from this KISS 1980 Tour - stay tuned on that one!)...AC/DC "...To Hell And Back" pairs up a couple of classic proshot vids of the band at Joe Louis Arena on Novembe 17 & 18, 1983 - plus their vintage performance with Bon Scott at The World Series Of Rock at Cleveland Stadium on July 28, 1979...ROGER WATERS "Terminal Shock" is a superb digital TV Broadcast of his Rock In Rio performance in Lisbon, Portugal on June 2nd, 2006.  Coming to DVD from A Goodfellas Production...PETER GABRIEL "Don't Give Up (Argentina)", his complete Amnesty International performance in Buenos Aires on October 15, 1988 in proshot quality - plus bonus footage from Japan Aid, December 20, 1986 and some 2006 footage from Torino, Italy on February 10th...OASIS "Learning Truth From Lies" is boasting a "better than ever" quality video from The Tweeter Center in Boston on June 24, 2005 with bonus clips from the London TV broadcast of "Later With Oasis" from May 13, 2000.
