Welcome to another edition of the Bootleg News here at HotWacks On-line.  It's been an interesting week for the music industry as we were treated to a confirmation that the remaining members of LED ZEPPELIN will reunite on November 26th for the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert at The 02 Arena in London (formerly The Millenium Dome) along with BILL WYMAN'S RHYTHM KINGS, FOREIGNER, PETE TOWNSHEND, Scottish singer PAOLO NUTINI - and I'm sure others will surely "show up".  Of course, the cry around the globe to Promoter HARVEY GOLDSMITH is to please ready the cameras and tape recorders so that the event will be captured for posterity - or at least a DVD, if not pay-per-view event.  Nothing yet...on with the here and the now in Bootleg News...

Eric Clapton Dallas 1976 Pre-FM Master Beano LabelPaul Simon All The Favorite Melodies Zion LabelThe Rolling Stones Pontiac's Rebellion Dog N Cat Records

...Just announced today...coming from the Beano Label is the ERIC CLAPTON release, "Dallas 1976 Pre-FM Master" 1CD that features the November 15, 1976 Broadcast tape...and from Zion comes PAUL SIMON "All The Favorite Melodies" 2CD which contains a superb audience recording from Osaka Festival Hall, Japan on April 3rd, 1974...In some ROLLING STONES boot news, Sister Morphine's plans for a next release were confirmed and corrected to declare "Diamonds & Disease (Exile Outtakes)" 1CD as the next catalog title...and Dog N Cat Records' next STONES set is "Pontiac's Rebellion" 2CD containing the un-exciting November 30, 1981 soundboard source tape...

The Beatles White Album Working Version MisterClaudel Label                 Bob Dylan Let My Poor Voice Be Heard Hollow Horn Label

Plenty of BEATLES boot news keeps swirling around these days...we just came through a slew of Shea Stadium titles and U.S. Tour '65 and '66 releases...now it's the Dr. Ebbett's catalog of CD's that seem to be everywhere.  These of course are "needle drop" transfers from rare, official vinyl issues and to me are grey area pirate recordings but are no less popular in collector circles.  Now don't get all worked up about the pirate reference, I get it.  In fact, just heard "Help!" over the weekend and nearly caught the bug to get my hands on the catalog myself...pretty freakin' fantastic, I must say.  Word on the street is that there will be 11 new titles coming from Dr. Ebbett's in October too...MisterClaudel announced their plans to release THE BEATLES "White Album Working Version" 5CD set yet this month!...Disc 1 will feature the May 1968 Demo Recordings made at Esher House, Disc 2 is John's 1967 Home Demo, Disc 3 is a documentary of the recordings made at Abbey Road Studios on July 18, 1968 and Discs 4 & 5 contain assorted rare acetates, monitor mixes, promo mixes, and alternate takes...Hollow Horn's new BOB DYLAN title is now on the street, look for "Let My Poor Voice Be Heard" 2CD wherever these offerings usually show...and while this one is another historical audio document...another DYLAN release coming from the Liberator Label is the one that'll generate the buzz with "And It Ain't In The Seats Of A Supper Club" and is holding a spot in the Top 10 for 2007 and it hasn't even circulated much outside of Europe!..Tarantura will be releasing WISHBONE ASH "Platform Shoes" 2CD before months' end, this is of vintage ASH and contains a February 25, 1975 audience tape from Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo...

That's kind of it from the Silver Disc realm of announcements and releases from the past week.  We're getting set to publish a slew of reviews over the next couple of days so please check back often.  Have a great week and we'll keep you posted on the latest...
