Led Zeppelin Madison Square Garden Working Tapes inside Empress Valley

A nice surprise from Empress Valley arrived to market yesterday in Japan...hot off the presses is the LED ZEPPELIN 3CD + DVD set "Live At Madison Square Garden Working Tapes", which  is interesting in terms of timing because these are tapes that were apparently utilized for the remastered edition of the film "The Song Remains The Same" that is scheduled to be released in November.  These are the multi track tapes that Sound Engineer Kevin Shirley had to work with and makes this very interesting.  The audio is likely sourced from all three 1973 concerts on July 27th, 28th and 29th and not a single nights' recording....the deluxe package also includes a DVD of film outtakes from TSRTS as well as 8mm amateur footage from all 3 nights which has been previously released on bootleg DVD...(thanks to the Broken Arrow website for the EV release images above)  Also scheduled to arrive this month from EVSD is the ZEP September 6, 1971 Boston audience tape, also previously available...In other LZ bootleg news, The Godfather Records will release their own deluxe version of the Southampton  '73 Multi Track Mix Soundboard on the 2CD "Any Port In A Storm - The Lost Soundboard Show"...

Pink Floyd Westworld Sigma LabelThe Beatles Sessions 2LP Reissue No LabelThe Byrds Byrds Eye View DVD Bad Wizard Label

...Announced today from Sigma is the new PINK FLOYD title, "Westworld" 2CD and boasts that this version of the Stereo Soundboard from The Fillmore West on April 29, 1970 is "The Best Quality Ever!", and that would be alright with me...Time out for a Vinyl update....yes, it's still around and thank god...available now from an uncredited label is a re-issue pressing of THE BEATLES 2LP bootleg, "Sessions", which is an old school compilation of seemingly random outtakes and alternate tracks from 1962-1969 and replicates the original cover art of the 1980's EMI Euro boot issue..."Byrds Eye View" is the cute title of Bad Wizards's new DVD from THE BYRDS..it's another extensive Television Appearance Video Compilation 1965-1970.

Crossroads Festival 2007 ARMS LabelBruce Springsteen Glory Days DVD Apocalypse Sound LabelBob Dylan The Naked Empire The Godfather Records

In other one-off bootleg release news...the ARMS Label announced "Crossroads Festival 2007" 3CD set of the July 7th Music Fest in Chicago...Dog N Cat Records will issue THE ROLLING STONES 2CD "Germany 1970" which pairs up two audience recordings from Cologne on September the 18th and Stuttgart on September the 20th...From Vintage Master's Premium Series comes BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND "Lost New Year's Eve" 1CD which is another version of the stellar Tower Theater Stereo Soundboard from Philadelphia on December 31st, 1975...Speaking of the Stones and Springsteen....New DVD news from Apocalypse Sound, next Tuesday, October 16 the label will release BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN "Glory Days" which is a 90-minute BBC Documentary produced and aired in 1987 to promote the "Live 1975-1985" Box Set with rare, archive footage previously unreleased and deluxe digipack packaging...also coming next Tuesday from The Godfather Records is the LED ZEP title mentioned above, along with BOB DYLAN "The Naked Empire" 1CD of Empire Burlesque Session Outtakes, recorded in New York and Hollywood in from July of 1984 through April 1985...THE ROLLING STONES "No Spare Parts" 2CD is essentially subtitled "Through The Vaults Darkly Vol. 2" and comes with info that these are alternates and outtakes sourced from "newfound studio reels and original acetates 1964-2005"...and THE POLICE "Welcome To This Three-Man Show" 2CD, a stellar audience tape from The Globe Arena in Stockholm on August 30, 2007.

Led Zeppelin Any Port In A Storm-The Lost Soundboard Show The Godfather RecordsThe Police Welcome To This 3-Men Show The Godfather RecordsThe Rolling Stones Germany 1970 Dog N Cat Records

There is also word of  a couple of new NEIL YOUNG titles arriving soon on what appears to be a new label called Lost Dog Records..."The Bernstein Tapes" is a compilation of soundboard tracks from the Fall of 1976, "Acoustic Evening Amsterdam 1989" 2CD contains a December 1989 VPRO Radio Broadcast....and that's a wrap for this week, thanks for visiting the News Column here at HotWacks On-line.  Keep a browser pointed to the Homepage News Ticker and have yourselves a great week.
