Just announced today...from the Beano Label, ERIC CLAPTON "Ferocious" 2CD that documents the August Tour stop at the Harford Civic Center on April 13, 1990 from an excellent audience source...a Non-Label TRAFFIC CD is on the way called "Pop Spectacular: BBC 1970" and sourced from the original BBC Transcription disc (LP), recorded at the Paris Theater in London on April 30th, 1970 in full stereo soundbaord glory. Look for the OASIS single CD plus bonus DVD-R set "Live AT The Metro" on the Betrayer Deluxe Label and coming at the end of March, this stereo soundboard was recorded in Chicago at The Metro on October 15, 1994 and is limited to 200 copies only... ...Tarantura has also shared the rest of their release schedule for the month, coming at the end of the week on the 15th are:...ERIC CLAPTON "Change The World" 2CD, which is an audience tape of his October 13, 1998 concert at the NEC in Birmingham, England during the first leg of the Pilgrim Tour and features BONNIE RAITT guesting on the encore of "Before You Accuse Me"...the second title for the week is BOZ SCAGGS "Osaka" and is also sourced from a stereo soundboard...coming next week from the label is LED ZEPPELIN "Fortune Teller" 2CD that contains the excellent Oakland tape from September 2, 1970 - it will be issued on the 20th..it appears the originally titled Zep 5CD set "Kurofune" has been renamed "929 Geisha" and will contain audience source tapes of the September 29, 1971 show in Osaka, the set is also slated for the end of March in a very limited edition... but already available is RAINBOW "Smoke On The Water" 2CD in a paper sleeve edition and limited to 200 copies, it features the August 23, 1981 performance in Aichi, Japan at the Nagoya City Kokaido and also comes with a poster... ...Strange Apple Records will release THE BEATLES "Get Back" 3CD, plus Limited DVD-R of the 'Let It Be' film. The set will present two different 1969 source mixes on the first two discs, a source #2 1970 mix on disc 3 of very common sessions that made up the Let It Be album...this one coming before month's end as well... ...finally, the next release from the Memory Records Label will be ELVIS PRESLEY "Trouble In Vegas", a single disc title that evidently presents the most 'interesting' of two previously unreleased dinner shows on December 9, 1976 in which ole EL is severely medicated and is indeed having a bit of a hard time getting through the performance...the 76 minute show is plagued with false starts and forgotten lyrics, documenting an episode where things all went wrong in a place he typically took by storm. That's all we've scoured up through the last 6-7 days from a silver disc perspective and as the Spring unfolds we can surely expect things to pick up as well as some surprises.
