Whitesnake Loaded Gun Power Gate Label

...Announced today from Power Gate is the WHITESNAKE 2CD set, "Loaded Gun" that features the stereo soundboard recording from a concert performed at Friedrich Ebert Halle, Ludwigshafen, Germany on March 19, 1983.  This particular line-up has interim guitarist Mel Galley joining David Coverdale and original members Jon Lord, Cozy Powell and Mickey Moody...The late March push from Mid Valley with the CLAPTON and JEFF BECK titles "In The Court Of King Eric" 4CD and "Exhaust Note" included a surprise from Empress Valley with the LED ZEPPELIN slipcase package, "V 1/2" 3CD which presents the soundboard/audience production of the excellent Seattle show from July 17, 1973, thanks to Broken Arrow for the scan below...Other LED ZEPPELIN titles on the docket that are forthcoming are "Knebworth 79" Dual Layer DVD from Cashmere that will be the first time packaging of both Knebworth Festival proshot performances in one wrapping  - for what that is worth...and the latest on the fragmented Kurofune set from Tarantura, "Geisha" 5CD with the Osaka tapes from September 29, 1971 is that we should see it sometime mid-April...Scorpio and budget EV copycat, Eelgrass have been all over Zep re-issues and if the Eelgrass formula is intact, they have cloned EV's "Maximum Destroyer" with their latest "Destroyer" incarnation - sans the DVD-Audio versions that 'Maximum D' included...

Genesis ...This Is The One! (inside panels) Satellite 6 Label

...Satellite 6 continues it's prominence in the underground conversation this week with very cool news of their April title, GENESIS "...This Is The One!" 2CD which brings to collectors hands for the first time on bootleg, their Lamb Lies Down On Broadway Tour Opener at Wembley Empire Pool in London on April 14, 1975.  Just to tweak the anticipation and underscore interest in this recording is that it is a Mike B. source - the same taper who provided us the audience upgrade to THE ROLLING STONES Empire Pool show from September 8, 1973 and we can only hope this new GENESIS show is of comparible quality...Fans of the Rolling Thunder Revue 1975 Tour will be in for a treat with the new presentation of the BOB DYLAN title, "Friends & Other Strangers" 2CD containing the old New Orleans Warehouse soundboard tape from May 3, 1976 and features the DENNIS HOPPER intro and the rather ragtag, or at least odd, supportive cast of KINKY FRIEDMAN, ROGER MCGUINN, of course JOAN BAEZ, BOB NEUWIRTH, MICK RONSON and like the title says, Other Strangers...but this show has been a long-time staple in the RTR era of recordings and it'll be interesting to hear how this new title from The Soundboard Master Tapes (TSMT) Label stacks up and is it any different or considered an upgrade?  More on that for sure...there is another DYLAN effort out without a Label but the silver disc 5CD Edition "1995  EuropeanTour Anthology" presents the March 11th, 1995 Prague recording as it's core piece and then cobbles together selections from stops in Brighton (March 26), Paris (March 24), Cardiff (March 27), London (March  29, 30,31), Birmingham (April 2), Manchester (April 3 & 4), Edinburgh (April 7), Prague (March 12 & 13), and Bielefield (March 16)...

...Now, whether this is Lion-ess type of news line-up to round out the March 2008 bootleg news is subject to whether it is individually interesting of course, I however don't think it's too bad if you are of the quality not quantity mentality!  Watch out for April Fools now, and have yourself a great week. I'll meet you right back here next Monday, thanks.
