...Announced earlier today out of Japan are a couple of excellent audience tapes getting silver disc treatment...from Sigma it's PINK FLOYD "Long Sentence" 2CD which presents the vintage tape from the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York on April 22, 1970...Rising Arrow is poised to issue yet another RAINBOW title from the original lineup on "The Hague 1977" 2CD capturing their show Congresebouw on October 4, 1977...Picadilly Circus' next release documents the PAUL McCARTNEY "Independence Concert" in Kiev, Ukraine just this past June 14th...Thursday Dog N Cat unveiled THE ROLLING STONES "Stones Touring Party Vol. 2" 2CD set which will pair up audience tapes from Mobile, Alabama on June 27, 1972 on Disc 1 and the Civic Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee show from July 7, 1972 on Disc 2...

...As we shared on the ticker over the last week, coming Thursday June 26th from Apocalypse Sound is the METALLICA DVD "Ring On Fire" which captures their Rock Am Ring show in proshot quality from Eifel, Germany on June 7th..with that, these Godfather Records releases also arrive later this week..KISS "Alive Again" 2CD contains a great audience tape from Verona, Italy on May 13th, 2008 with a batch of bonus tracks from Vienna, Austria on May 12th plus selections from Sydney on May 20th, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on July 20th, Osaka on June 22nd and Nagoya, Japan on July 16th...ROBERT PLANT & ALLISON KRAUSS "Their Long Journey" 2CD captures the duo backed by T-BONE BURNETT & Band in Dusseldorf, Germany on May 10, 2008 with bonus tracks from Manchester, UK on May 8th, Birminham, Alabama on April 26th, and a couple from Louisville, Kentucky on April 20th...JOY DIVISION "The Dutch Recordings" is a single CD that pairs a couple of soundboards up for collectors, from The Paradiso in Amsterdam on January 11, 1980 and Eindhoven, Holland on January 18, 1980...GFR continues it's string of LED ZEPPELIN titles this month with "Royal Albert Hall: Initial Tapes" 2CD which is a reissue of the KEVIN SHIRLEY "Working Tapes", the multi tracks produced for use on the official 2003 DVD that includes a more complete version of the show, including the incomplete but monster version of "Heartbreaker"...In other ZEP boot news, Tarantura released the 3CD set, "Performed In Seattle" which is simply yet another soundboard/audience presentation of the July 17, 1973 concert...Empress Valley has also released a couple of titles that include "The Balloon Boy's Rock Carnival In Tokyo" 3CD which contains the September 24, 1971 tape from The Budokan and "The Lost Sessions Vol. 12: All Roads Lead To Headley Grange Vol. 3" 1CD dumbfoundedly serving up common Physical Graffiti outtakes including the instrumental "Swan Song"...

...What are we expecting otherwise?  The third installment of Hollow Horn's BOB DYLAN Recording Artist 2 Series very soon...uh,hum CSNY Box Set if Aurora Borealis can secure a plant to press...the next LED ZEPPELIN soundboard from Seattle '75, a ZEP Reunion DVD Audio, and do I dare even throw gasoline on the neverending story that is the BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN Box Set?...Some of these are sure to see the light of day, and it could be any day...some I would put money on that they never will...ALL are fun to speculate about and all are the very reasons we stay tuned and chase this stuff around.  Keep your eyes and ears tuned and I'll meet you back here next week for more concrete info vs. speculation.  Have a good one!
