Catching up with Rattlesnake for Stones & Dylan Boxes...
07 Jul 2009

...Arriving to market the last week, on the heels of Crystal Cat's BOB DYLAN 'Amsterdam 2009' Box Set about 10 days ago, is the Rattlesnake Label's "Easter Trilogy: Amsterdam" 6CD with 8-page booklet, poster and superb presentation of the 3 nights at Heineken Music Hall on April 10th ('I Left The Road And Landed In...Amsterdam), April 11th ('Damn Amsterdam, The Levee's Gonna Break') and April 12th ('Easter Sunday: Gotta Serve Zimmy)...you can apparently obtain the shows individually or, via the nice box set...Accompanying the BOB Box, Rattlesnake also has these really nice ROLLING STONES Box Sets hitting the street (big thanks to Riccar99 for the reminder last week on these!)...

..."Lost Legal Live Tracks" 2CD set is a really sweet B-sides anthology pulled from their most recent international releases, etc. with 16-page booklet, detailed tracklisting as well as some nice photographic/graphical treatment, see below...

...and that is unfortunately it for the announcements this past holiday week.  We hope those of you celebrating Independence Day over the weekend enjoyed yourselves thoroughly.  In closing, a nod and acknowledgement to the passing of MICHAEL JACKSON on June 25th...lets face it, the dude was in a world of hurt and was a complete disaster for quite some time. As many from the inner circle have expressed, this was no surprise other than the timing of it.  I'm not going to get into the ugly personal side or legal tangles the artist was embroiled in, most of it has just disgusted me over the last 15 years or more and like Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohann, I cannot get away from it fast enough...back to the musical legacy of the artist that MJ used to be, perhaps we'll get a cool bootleg production that takes us back to say...the early 70's-early 80's era when he still looked like MICHAEL JACKSON or, at least human and we get an underground tribute that is worthy of our attention...and that will be ALL on THAT. Have a great week!
