A solid Led Zep '75 performance gets dialed up to soundboard status...

...First off, Dog N Cat Records have announced their next ROLLING STONES release to be "Little Boys Play With Stones" 2CD which features an audience tape from Lyon, France on June 9, 1976, a show previously released on VGPs 'Backstage Limited' -same tape?...we'll get input from our resident Stones' expert, Riccar99...Also new to the release schedule this week is a generic silver disc title "High Wire: Ray Gillen Tribute Concert 1994" led by GLENN HUGHES & TRAPEZE with a tribute band that features JANI LANE of WARRANT, TAL BERGMAN (from BILLY IDOL'S band) and even a guest appearance by NOEL REDDING of THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE...This is a stereo soundboard CD of the performance from Irving Plaza, New York City on February 9, 1994 with a bonus proshot DVD-R that runs about 32 minutes...

...And, we'll round out the skimpy news platter this week with the BIG news from Empress Valley Supreme Disc who announced over the weekend that they will issue a previously unreleased LED ZEPPELIN soundboard recording via "Long Beach Californication", a 3CD set that will get the deluxe treatment, literally.  This new title features the excellent Long Beach Arena show from March 11, 1975 and will be released in 3 different configurations that include a mega-deluxe limited edition of 100 numbered copies with t-shirt, a limited edition version in a sweet digipack/slipsleeve set limited to 200 copies, and a standard edition - whatever that means!...no matter the type of package, it is sure to be a great way to cap a rather uneventful Summer, but who's complaining?...we really got some cool releases along the way...It just would have been ultra cool to get a performance that has previously been unavailable in any form...and finally, why are the japanese continuing to issue 'remastered' BEATLES stereo needle-drop releases when the new box sets are hitting the streets in a week?...even 'Dr. Ebbets' ceased his projects when these bad boys were announce in May...

...that's it for this final Summer Edition of the Boot News at HotWacks On-line...there's no denying it, Summer is over and it's a bit depressing frankly...cheers to a hopefully active Fall and keep talking up the titles!  Have a good one.
