...A couple of Non-Label ROLLING STONES titles were announced today...Pictured above, "Southern Quotations" 2CD presents the fair Greensboro, North Carolina concert audience recording from June 26, 1978 and supplemented with the better audience tape from Lakeland, Florida on June 10th, 1978 (first show of the tour)...And, "'Rotter Beast Of Burden" 2CD leverages a very good audience source tape from Feyenoord Stadion in Rotterdam, Netherlands on June 4th,1982 and is supplemented by another spirited performance via audience tape from Roundhay Park in Leeds (UK) on July 25, 1982...both releases may look familiar to veteran collectors as they both leverage excellent vinyl artwork from their analog counterparts, very fun....ADDENDUM January 21, 2009...In other STONES boot news, Dog N Cat will release their own 2CD version of the Altamont '69 concert called "It's Just A Shot Away"...

...The Japanese Innergroove Label has just issued THE BEATLES release, "The Beatles In Japan 1966" 1CD plus 2DVD-R package that looks VERY nice!...Pictured above is the DVD-size artwork for the set, below is the bonus postcard that is included...At initial glance at the tracklisting below, it appears that we don't really get anything new but perhaps we will be treated to some meticulous transfers of the audio and video that will truly be something 'defiinitive' for a change on this material...
