...In LED ZEPPELIN boot news, the recognizable 'non-label' series actually pulls out a bit of a surprise with their next release, "Mercy On Me" 2CD featuring the March 21, 1973 Hamburg, Germany mono soundboard - this time, complete!...featuring the beginning of the concert for the first time on silver disc. Nice, as this is a powerful and tight performance. Kudos for this one, as well as the title on deck, "Sequence Of Events", a 6CD set that pairs up the Mike Millard (unmarked sources?) San Diego and first Los Angeles Forum tapes from June 19th and 21st, 1977 respectively... Also, Graf Zeppelin have a new but seemingly superfluous title hitting the streets with their own version of "Bonzo's Birthday Party" 3CD Limited Numbered Edition (May 31, 1973 L.A. Forum)...

...All things BEATLES remain hot and the above "Ultra Rare Trax" remaster series 2010 from Idol Mind Productions could be quite a contender from the label. They are offering the discs as a special Wooden Box package which is the only way to get Volume 3, otherwise Volumes 1 & 2 are available seperately as single discs...here's the breakdown on these:

...BLACK SABBATH "Bringer Of Evil" 3CD is another phenomenal tribute to the musical career of RONNIE JAMES DIO, this time solidly documenting the best stereo soundboard recordings from his initial stint at fronting the revamped Sabbath circa 1980 over 3 different concert recordings...On this non-label production we have what is described as the 'longest and best' soundboard source of their November 27, 1980 Sydney, Australia performance along with skimmed soundboard recordings of their U.S. Tour '80 from yet another 'Cozy Tape' source.. as well as two FM broadcast sources of the August 10, 1980 Hartford Civic Center show!...

...Above is the next release from Virtuoso and YES collectors will be thrilled to get their hands on "Towards Perfection" 2CD set which also includes a bonus DVD-R in limited quantity. The set features a superb audience recording from the Sporthalle in Cologne, Germany on November 29, 1977 and the video companion DVD-R, titled "Wonderous Vision" contains a wonderfully shot vid from the audience of their Novmeber 8, 1977 concert at The Apollo Theater in Glasgow, Scotland...

...Pictured above & below are the latest ambitious box set presentations from Wonderland Records, expected to hit the streets late-June/early-July...GEORGE HARRISON "Pro-Shot Collection" is a cool 4DVD box set...THE BEATLES "Complete Rock Band Remixes 2009" is self-explanatory... ELVIS PRESLEY "The Biggest Show On Earth" is a 4CD set of 1976 soundboards, very cool....THE ROLLING STONES "Tour Of Europe '76' 12CD/DVD box gathers the cream of the crop from that era, punctuating the whole themed set with the erratic but essential Knebworth Fair proshot video and Black And Blue promo clips...

...And last but certainly not least, as we continue the STONES theme here...look for this nugget arriving on the Scorpio Label, "The Genuine Black Box 1961-1974", 6CD, a collection of rarities, scarce singles, etc. featuring 144 tracks from the Little Boy Blue sessions through the MICK TAYLOR years, intriguing for sure and good to see Scorpio back in the mix!...Wrapping up the commentary are a couple of releases from Audiofon, picture below is their PAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS disc "Trevor Jones Collection Vol. 1" leveraging the "Speed Of Sound" session outtakes to recently surface along with a few other scarcities and even bonus live tracks...Audiofons' other release is another BEATLES Rock Band Remixes CD...
