...Coming off the superb Celebration Day release last month, we now have a new LED ZEPPELIN stereo soundboard set to highlight this week - coming from, of course, Empress Valley Supreme Disc...it's out, no doubt sold out and enroute to those who didn't hesitate at the stiff prices on the premium release sets, the details:
"Double Shot" features TWO previously unreleased soundboard recordings of the LED ZEPPELIN concerts in Landover, Maryland at the Capital Centre on May 25th and May 30th, 1977 and was released in two versions:
- Extremely Limited Slip-case 6CD version - only 100 numbered copies
- Maryland Moonshine Box Set - 12CD set of all 4 Maryland 1977 soundboard recordings (5/25, 5/26, 5/28, 5/30) - only 50 numbered copies (two of these shows were previously issued as "Bringing Down The House" and "The Powhatan Confederacy")
...Other Empress Valley releases in December yet include: BECK, BOGART & APPICE "Live In Japan" 2CD paper slip case with OBI limited edition of 100 copies of their May 14, 1973 Tokyo concert...and, THE ROLLING STONES "LiveR Than You'll Ever Be" 1CD paper case with OBI of the familiar if not common November 9, 1969 2nd show in Oakland...
On to new vinyl box sets!... there are 3 stellar releases on the way from Vintage Vinyl and Red Tongue Records:
...The latest official stonesarchive.com bootleg, "Roundhay Park: Leeds '82" is getting wide attention from the underground...not only with the vinyl box above but on silver disc this week on the IMP Label with "Live at Leeds Roundhay Park" 2CD set...and coinciding with their 50th Anniversary and Counting finale in Newark this past Saturday - MORE STONES!...Here are a couple of non-label productions that look great:
