REVIEW: |
Volume 10 presents Ian Stewart with George Thorogood & the Destroyers Part 3 that features the opening concert to the Paris 1982 Stones show, the line up is: Stu on piano, George Thorogood on guitar and vocals, Bill Blough on bass, Jeff Simon on drums and Hank Carter on sax.
Note: It seems that STU didn’t play
on The Sky Is Crying and Nobody But Me.
This is a rare recording so, as often
in this case, the sound is poor, too much rumble and
hiss coming from the tape recording but there is nothing that could be done about it. It must be said that in order to listen to Stu you need to have lots of faith.
However the beginning/end of cdr was upgraded and the sound amplified and a little more high tones added. Some noise and a gap at 7’08 in Reelin And Rockin was deleted and some sound fails on track 5 too. This is the last in the series that had the merit to present concerts hardly made available to Stones fans reworked as far as possible. |
