REVIEW:

Jeff Beck’s Group 2nd US Tour made two stops at Miami Three Image Club, the Friday 15th November concert saw the appearance on stage of Jimmy Page who jammed with Jeff Beck for the first time about 2 years after leaving the Yardbirds. This recording claims to be of the following show the night after (with Page who flew back to England to join The New Yardbirds (Led Zeppelin) on a Saturday night gig), but unfortunately what is the given location is incorrect as it presents the Lu Anne concert held in Dallas that was already released on cdr as Dallas Bolero (Thumb's Up) and on a silver disc as Tour De Force (Scorpio), lately re-released as Doin That Crazy Thing from a no label. Both sets are represented with the exception of the opening song "You Shook Me" that is not here. The audience is so calm that Jeff Beck has to say over the microphone "It's like a library in here!" in order to get some people clapping along. Both sets have highlights starting with   on the 1st set "Jeff's Boogie" that features a Matt Guitar Murphy riff throughout . Then follows a BB King song, "Sweet Little Angel", that shows the man’' taste on slow blues with the set ending with the hit single of the moment "Hi Ho Silver Lining". The 2nd set starts with "Beck's Bolero" that features a shy Rod Stewart on rhythm guitar before a tight version of "Oh Pretty Woman" (covered by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers too). "Mother's Old Rice Pudding" is played here live for the very first time,a good 6 months before it is official appearance on album. The blues that follows, "The Sun is Shining" has a great guitar solo for the last part of the 6.50 minutes the song lasts. The last song is announced as "I Am Not Superstitious" and shows a funkier face of Jeff Beck's playing that will be shown mostly in the middle 70s stretch of albums.

Miami 68 has been partially released on Like a Hurricane,My Primsoul (OPM)Live Archives 68-69. This cover is a reminder of Hangman.
