REVIEW:

This is a recently released British copy of the famous Italian bootleg of the same name released many years ago.  This captures in an excellent sounding soundboard one of The Doors' final concerts, the infamous Isle of Wight performance, their final in the UK.

There is no improvement over previous releases of this tape.  It still has the lamentable cut in "The End."  Overall this performace by the band is good but definitely not classic by any means.  The biggest letdown for Doors fans is the lack of any new material.  They were in the midst of recording their final masterpiece L.A. Woman, yet they play it safe with the concert standards they played for many years.  The show is good but not great.  Anyone can enjoy the show.

Doors bootlegs are few and far between these days.  Japan all but ignores them and their official internet-only label Bright Midnight has flopped miserably.  This is a good way to find this show for your Isle of Wight collection.
