REVIEW:

This new release presents the Faces 2011 only gig in Japan filmed on 30th July: the concert was actually broadcasted by Japan tv Fuji Television minus the first three songs (weird selection) but we get them anyway although sourced from the audience (same as on Had Me A Real Good Time DVD release).

The broadcasted tracks are obviously in excellent quality with minimal Japanese subtitles and show perfect footage and audio with intimate close ups of band members through multicamera action (we can actually see some black spots on Ron Wood s torn t-shirt during "All Or Nothing"!).

Next we get the Rob Brydon show from BBC 2 which features an interview of Ron Wood and Mick Hucknall and then they played a short version of "Ooh La La" sitting on stools; the whole band performs "Stay With Me" then. It is followed by two songs Ron Wood played with Rod Stewart at the Hard Rock Calling concert held at Hyde Park in London in late June. The first song shot from the audience as only the second one was actually broadcasted by Sky Arts channel. Actually Ron Wood should have joined Rod Stewart on the second song only (and in fact was told to get out from the stage by a joking Stewart) but then really played on a song that saw more than audience participation with lyrics sung totally by the crowd backing a low voiced Stewart.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
