REVIEW:

This release presents the Faces live at the BBC (on the last two tracks of Side Two only the vocals were live) from 1971; the tracks on Side One and 2 on Side Two come from the John Peel Sunday concert that saw the band playing Rod Stewart material as well as their own (Bad ‘n’ Ruin is here played live for the first time according to Rod Stewart. (I Know I’m) Losing You, a cover of the Temptations song, will eventually come out on Stewart 3rd solo album Every Picture Tells A Story later in July. The other 2 tracks are from Top of the Pops, this is the episode where Ton Wood was playing a guitar made out of a toilet seat, but the most remarkable tune is Richmond, a Ronnie Lane acoustic composition that was written on tour in the USA. This is a good sounding release although the front cover claims it to be in mono, but actually it is mostly in stereo.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
