REVIEW: |
This is new
recording from the Faces 4th US Tour from 1971 that was not
circulating before offering the Long Beach Arena concert. It is a fine
recording and has a rarely heard song in the set list, the Everly Brothers "When Will I Be Loved" that has an acappella part in the middle followed by a
nice piano solo by Ian McLagan. Some solo Stewart songs are performed as well
like "Country Comfort" coming from Rod Stewart's solo album, Gasoline Alley (whose
title song is played too),
"Maggie Mae"
, "An Old Raincoat Won t Ever Let You Down" and "Every Picture Tells A Story",
taken from the album of the same name that was released just three weeks before
the concert. This is a very nice recording packaged in a superb way with great
front and back cover photos layout.
