REVIEW:
This release presents the complete Faces concert at the Boston Gardens on July 1st 1972 and it is a quite good recording although not a crystal clear one; this show was previously available incomplete amongst collectors, this complete version has surfaced recently. The band plays very well indeed, the set list presents many classic live Faces tracks. A brand new number in Rod Stewart words in "Maggie May" well judged by the audience while the second hit "Stay With Me" doesn't seem to involve much attending fans. On the second disc there are extended medley that feature also songs from Rod Stewart solo album "Gasoline Alley" and "True Blue" from Never a Dull Moment although recorded with the original Faces group and as one of the three encores "Every Picture Tells A Story" from the Rod Stewart album of the same name Quite strange the Faces decided to leave the stage with a slow tune, "I'd Rather Go Blind", another new song for those times.
