Watchtower again proves to be a hot label with this new Hendrix release.  Disc one (first show) hits the speakers loud and clear.  A very nice recording with the exception of some background hiss and occasional reverberation (common on Hendrix boots).  Disc two sounds a little more distant but still a nice soundboard of a show that seems to be previously unreleased (as a soundboard anyway).  The bonus tracks from the next day are not quite up to par with the New Years Eve gig but still nice to get and very listenable.  Track listing for these shows is off from what most Hendrix historians have posted for set lists that night.  Possibly complete source audio did not exist earlier and they simply did not realize these other songs were played?  Artwork is unspectacular by usual Watchtower standards but suits it fine.  Typical later Hendrix show and it doesn't really need to get better than that.
