The Jagger concert in
Auckland,
New Zealand was the last of the Australasian Tour held in 1988. On the insert of this newly produced double album it reads: "Recorded on November 5th which is Guy Fawkes Night (a.k.a. Cracker Night) in some British Commonwealth Countries, this is why fireworks can be heard through out the show. This newly released 2CDR set offers Jagger's stop at Western Springs Stadium at the end of
his 1988 solo tour." This is the first time that Jagger Auckland show comes out in any form, as the previously available recording of this concert was of bad quality and almost impossible to listen to. This new recording is quite good and a great find for those who feel Jagger solo tour interesting; contrary to the Japan shows, there is a little bit more focus on his solo material here (7 are his songs out of 25 songs in total with 17 that were Stones hits) and also a cover version of James Brown "Sex Machine", together with "Hard Woman" performed for the only time on this tour (and ever, live). The audio is in mono and seems to come from a private video recording of the event, it is anyway been improved from previous available recording of this show, although some hiss is still discernible throughout the performance.
