REVIEW:

Ultra Fine is a division of IMP and this product presents the best vision and sound possibly available of the broadcast that happened on 21 February 2012 since it was filmed in High Definition with all features that come with it including Dolby 3; needless to say that pictures and audio are just perfect as on an official release. A number of selected musicians came to the East Side of the White House in order to celebrate America s original art form, the Blues. Here we get 2 versions of the featured performance (Main and Sub version) plus bonus tracks in full and with the same excellent quality of the broadcast. To my knowledge this is the first Blue Ray-R   release that features a Stone and possibly this is why the release was credited to Jagger & Beck rather than to Various Artists as it should have been. The bonus tracks are the extra tracks that enrich this collection, the first one is BB King The Thrill Is Gone of which just a minute is shown on the official broadcast; here is the full performance in high quality (4.45 minutes) followed by Jeff Beck s Brush With The Blues performed by Beck s own bass player Rhonda Smith and drummer Veronica Bellino. Next is Gary Clark s In The Evening a slow tempo blues that melts well with Keb Mo s acoustic version of America The Beautiful played with a slide on a steel guitar; finally there is a Behind the Scenes section taken from WhiteHouse.gov featuring interviews with artists and rehearsals scenes; after there is a chapter dedicated to BB King and a short interview of Buddy Guy about this get together at the White House. The last chapter is the sub version of Red White and Blues taken from etv, this version does not have the thirteen watershed advice on bottom right end of the screen but is the Public General version with the performers names popping up at the bottom of the screen.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
