REVIEW:

First of all I´m not an expert on Queen bootlegs. I just became a fan of their music a while ago and bought their back catologue up through Hot Space, after that I think their music turned into mainstream pop that I couldn´t stand so I didn´t bother taking the time to listen to their later work and went straight into bootlegs. Their early period is still their finest hour in my eyes and this "A Very Special Chritsmas" is definitely THAT hour. Uh, an hour and fifteen minutes that is! An amazing performance in amazing quality. A setlist filled with killer klassics of their first albums. Brian May is in excellent form, Freddies' voice is strong and powerful and with the tight rythm section this performance delivers the goods. Maybe this show has been released many times and I can´t compare quality but if you are a fan of Queens early work this is a must have title.

The Godfather Records did an excellent job remastering the cd. It´s crystal clear with excellent lows creating a beautifull and broad sound spectrum. This one comes VERY close to an official live release.

As usual the cd is housed in an ecellent gatefold paper sleeve with great and appropriate artwork for the show it contains.

Godfather, keep up the good work, a superb product again - and this is only the first of their September release schedule!!!!!!
