REVIEW:

This is another masterpiece release from Cpt. Acid & his gang; Keith Richards concert at the Meadowlands Arena in mid December 1988 has been the focus of the excellent but incomplete bootleg Run Richards Run; assembling three different sources it has been possible to merge them all in order to get a definitive document from this concert that saw the Expensive Winos perform their last date of the 1988 tour, just a day before Keith's birthday. The concert is special since it saw the guest appearance of the late Johnnie Johnson on piano and a setlist that features some rarely played songs by this ensemble.  The concert intro comes from the 1 hour DVD of the show which was the only one where it was featured, audio remastered for Falo's MFG #46 DVD. Most of the tracks are remasters of the aforementioned bootleg "Run Richards Run"(No Future Records 372), with missing songs added from another tape source that is also used for the in between songs comments. Of course there is ample difference in the sound output passing from the cd source(excellent) to the tape one (good but distant) to the DVD (fair), but the integrity of this special concert is far more valuable for Stones collectors.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
