REVIEW: |
This series intends to document all
the available concerts from the very first Keith Richards solo tour,
Atlanta’s Fox Theatre being the opening
date. The band line up was:
Keith Richards
on guitar and vocals, Waddy Wachtel on guitar and backing vocals, Ivan Neville
on keyboards and backing vocals, guitar on Happy, bass on I Could Have Stood
You Up), Charley Drayton on bass, backing vocals, drums on Take It So Hard), Steve
Jordan on drums, backing vocals, bass on Take It So Hard), Bobby Keys on sax), Sarah
Dash on backing vocals, lead vocals on Time Is On My Side and partly on Make No
Mistake and percussions.
All the available recordings came from the same
source published by Barbaric Sound Experiment. To synchronize them with the
video, the recording had to be decelerated by -3,8%. The overall sound was
amplified a bit in particular in the song parts, some micro-gaps between the
songs were edited out and t
he
transitions between tracks reworked. Notes: t
here’s a fade in/out before the encore, there’s
a one second gap in It Means A Lot at 4’43 which has been deleted and the two
segments reconnected, although but a slight break can be heard. That being said
it must be pointed out that the output is not that great, in mono and with
plenty of audience interferences, luckily submerged when the music starts.
