REVIEW: |
This newly
released download documents Keith Richards & The Expensive Winos show from
late November 1988 in
Washington s Constitution
Hall. Contrary to the previously reviewed work from Atlanta this is a
remastering of a handmade bootleg called Electrical Connection; the sound is
better than the aforementioned one except for the drums which at the beginning
of the show seem to come from a kid s set because of lack of bass from the
recording, but from "Before They Make Me Run" onwards it gets better though;
the rest of the instruments are quite well represented as well as Keith s
vocals.This one was better audience recording then Atlanta `88, so the remaster
sound better, too; as usual, pitch, phase and level correction plus equalizing,
just like on previous Keith remaster
lots
of boring pauses between songs have been edited out. The band did not have the
discipline to play songs one after another, shortly, they were chatting,
smoking, drinking...etc. No music was cut out, just audience noise.
