REVIEW:

The second volume from OBR presents some other great sessions tracks. Miss You is the first version take, instrumental, available here for the first time. Tie You Up (The Pain Of Love) is version 2, another early jam (4 minutes) but faster than the one on Volume One, out for the first time here too. Wanna Hold You first version follows, where someone else seems to be on drums than Charlie Watts, followed by the third take of Too Much Blood (7.58), an almost finished extended version with the Sugarhill Horn section which can be found on Too Much Blood (DAC 182). It s A Lie version II features Sugar Blue on harp in the introduction that can be found on All About You (DAC 187). In Your Hand has here Jagger singing unclear lyrics that can be found on All About You (DAC 187), Complete Undercover Definitive Sessions (Goldplate 1701) excerpt only, Too Much Blood (DAC 182), The Virchov Tape (DAC 181) excerpt only. All About You first version, also known as Train Song, features Jagger on backing vocals and a sax, it can also be found on About You (DAC 187) and on The Virchov Tape (DAC 181) excerpt only. Identification is a fast instrumental that can also be found on About You (DAC 187), Complete Undercover Definitive Sessions (Goldplate 1701) excerpt only, The Virchov Tape (DAC 181) excerpt only. When You re Gone version one is also known as Red Eyes and was used by Ron Wood on his solo album 1,2,3,4 and is available here for the first time just like Little T&A (an instrumental version with pedal steel guitar by Ron Wood) and Just My Imagination second version, which although incomplete is the basic version for all subsequent takes. Jagger here can be heard singing Look out of my window and Out of the girls in New York, I love her true. Yet another masterpiece by OBR, this second volume presents other interesting outtakes, may we hope for more volumes to come?
