REVIEW:

Fans work have become more and more specialized over the years from the digital   divide on and here we get another example of what can be achieved by amateurs/professional commitment.

Here we have the Stones concert at Buffalo s Rich Stadium from July 4th 1978, a concert that has been released on cdr as Buffalo 7-4-78-The Buffalo show 7-4-78, Fireworks in Buffalo (lasting just 30 minutes) , Independence Day 78 (complete show, 90 min.) and Buffalo 78 Revisited-2cdr and then on vinyl on SG/Ruthless Rhymes (Idle Mind   IMP 1023-1123) 2LP, Long Summer 78 (AR 92) same as Sides 1,4 of SG 1 LP.

On silver disc it came out on as Satisfaction Guaranteed (VGP 378). However on all these the sound output is at best sufficient to recognize the music, but not that satisfactory due to the sources available from one of the Stones concerts of that year that have not been well recorded, as it happened a new source appeared on YouTube from Ri_Rocks and this release presents a matrix of the existing source plus the newly discovered one. The title refers to July the 4th audience who seemed to have enjoyed one drink too many and threw on stage tin cans and other items especially during Keith Richards song. The first three songs although equalised are in fair audience sound, which have been used on vinyl, but from the fourth one onwards the new source was used and that was a much better audience recording, with better sounding bass and piano. The quality difference from the two sources can be easily felt on the transition time from Star Star to When The Whip Comes Down or at the end of Miss You. Packaging is nice using some fonts from the Some Girls Live release and some photos made by fans.
