It has in fact become almost a tradition to have an IEM matrix of some Stones concert for any recent tour and here we get the first two nights of the band s North American leg of the No Filter tour.

Compared with the excellent audience recording of the 1^st Chicago night which have circulated soon after day one, it must be said that this IEM matrix presents a great improvement especially when we take   the guitars as touchstone in fact they are crisp and clear each on its dedicated channel. Contrary to other Xavel releases there are no audible drawbacks, Jagger s vocals do not seem to be too high in the mix, I suppose it can be said this is ultimately a matter of taste, however there is not much difference here from a real soundboard recording. The cosy intimate moments /that is the acoustic set)do not provide separate channels for the guitars, too bad Ronnie Wood solo on Dead Flowers cannot be spotted that much, but it is possible to hear some keyboards.

Packaging is a bit confused offering front covers (the two Chicago nights are pretty similar) that in my book are too artsy not presenting any nice photos of the event; the OBI strip too gets too much in the way.

In theory it could be possible to have another matrix recording released (it happened with Empress Valley after Xavel London shows last year) with a slightly better different balance (keyboards and horns are low in the mix), time will tell if that will be the case, however it seems other Stones concerts (East Rutherford concerts) will be released by Xavel label in the near future.
