REVIEW: |
This
release from 1960s records presents the Stones in Germany in 1965 plus some
other additional live recordings from the same year. Side One has the whole set
from the Hamburg 2nd concert from a recording that first surfaced on
the 5LP 3 cd set Live in Hamburg 1965 (RTR 032); Side Two begins with 3 songs
performed in New York at the Hullaballoo show, which begins with the house orchestra
plating a mild version of Satisfaction; this was officially released on video
in 1998 in a 4 video box called Hullaballoo vol. 5-8 followed by a DVD version
in 2001, kinda weird that it is part of this release, though. 2 tracks from
Munster follow, then Little Red Rooster rehearsal from Belfast, recently
discovered on YouTube and a medley of songs from Berlin since they were originally
part of a SFB broadcast that only showed part of them. Sound quality is as good
as possible, due to the fact that they originate mostly from newscasts.
