REVIEW: |
Volume Six
has more good sounding tracks, starting with more fast numbers: Stop That #1 from
Chain Saw Massacre (DAC 110) aka as Chain Saw Rocker with hardly audible guide
vocals and piano ending. Stop That #2 is from Bird s Vault Vol. Three (OBR 93
CD 039) and is longer than I
with
studio-talk ending, Stop That #3 from Bird s Vault Vol. Three (OBR 93 CD 039)
too has guitar ending. Next we get Too Much Blood #1 from Chain Saw Massacre (DAC
110), this is an early long version with different lyrics, the basic track Jim
Barber on guitar (liner notes say Mike Baker on guitar, but that is incorrect,
however a version of this song was later remixed by Arthur Baker), followed by Too
Much Blood #2 from Think You Like It (DAC 109 ) another early short version
without horns; this version has an additional lead vocal track with the lyrics
wanna dance, wanna sing sung in the chorus & additional sounds. Tried To
Talk Her Into It #1 from Chain Saw Massacre (DAC 110) features Jim Barber on
12-string guitar, while #2 from Can t Find Love (DAC 159) features a pedal
steel guitar & Jim Barber on 12-string guitar. Wanna Hold You #3 from Chain
Saw Massacre (DAC 110) is an early version with different lyrics that begins in
mono; Wanna Hold You #4 from (DAC 109) is yet another early version with different
lyrics & double tracked vocals. Feel On Baby #1 from
Bird s Vault Vol. Two (OBR 93 CD 038) is an early
short version with Keith Richards on vocals; Feel On Baby #2 from Too Much
Blood (DAC 182) is another early version but longer with Mick Jagger on vocals
and finally I m A Little Mixed Up #2 from All Mixed Up (DAC 111) aka All Mixed
Up #2 features partly improvised vocals..
Disc Two
has the reworked tracks: Stop That #1 has been decelerated by -0,47% to be in synch
with Can t Find Love fragment & channel duplicated. Stop That #2 was duplicated
& decelerated by -1,4% to be in synch with #3, Stop That #3 was duplicated.
Too Much Blood #1 was decelerated by -0,9% to be in synch with the official version
& duplicated, Too Much Blood #2 was duplicated, Too Tough #1 is a mix of two
versions: one from Chain Saw Massacre & the other from Jamming With Stu (VGP
240) that had the same version found on Mr.D X Mas Gift Uncirculated Bird Vault
Tracks (FP 039). Tried To Talk Her Into It #1 was duplicated like #2. Wanna
Hold You #3 was decelerated by -0,19% to be in synch with the official version,
Wanna Hold You #4 was instead decelerated by -0,9% to be in synch with the
official version & channel duplicated. Feel On Baby #1 is a mix of the Show
Me Your Working (Eat A Peach 60-61) version decelerated by -0,734%, Feel On
Baby #2 was accelerated by +0,533% because it was too much decelerated by DAC.
Finally I m A Little Mixed Up #2 has been mixed with the Under Cover Outtakes (Rogue
R.02) version & speed corrected by -6,195%
