REVIEW: |
This
release is the first one of a group of five presenting Mick Taylor’s 1992
British Tour. Line up for this concert was:
Mick Taylor on guitar and vocals, Snowy White on guitar, Zoot Money on keyboards
and vocals, Roger Innes on bass and Jeff Allen on drums. Special guest: Anthony
Thistlethwaite plating sax on Can't You Hear Me Knocking.
This is a
modified version of the first release because that recording’s first part had
been identified as the February 3rd London show, apparently it seems
that the first part of this concert is not circulating, so here is all that
does exist. This recording is certainly not one of the best sounding Taylor
concerts, however the music included is great showing a usual set of songs that
in the early 90s concluded most Taylor concerts. Here, despite the disc beginning
and end having been reworked, high frequencies emphasized and al tracks equalized
also boosting the volume, we must note that Goin’ South fades in and Boogie Man
fades out. Unfortunately, the tape from which this recording has been taken
seem to have been erased in part by it, since are often heard the words of an
instructor/professor explaining some mathematical proceeding; bizarre.
