This release features the 1994 show Mick Taylor played at Solana Beach, near San Diego in the company of Terry Reid, a British singer more known for having turned down Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple requests to be their lead vocalist in the years, although many blues lovers appreciate a lot his solo material. Unfortunately, there has never been anything official released by Taylor and Reid together, but they have played together many times either live, here we have anyway this concert that opened the brief series of concerts the two of them made together in the mid ‘90s. The line-up consisted of Mick Taylor on guitar and vocals, Terry Reid on vocals and guitar, Rick Rojas on bass, Phil Jones on drums and Bruce Malament on keyboards. Most of the songs come in fact from Terry Reid albums, but 2 are from Mick Taylor live repertoire, too bad You Shook Me is cut at the end and Everybody Needs Somebody To Love lasts just 40 seconds. This is a brilliant recording which showcases the great potential that Reid’s vocals and Taylor’s guitar have when playing together, too bad never preserved officially on record.
