REVIEW:

Volume Eleven of this series presents the Boston May 1989 show; of this show two recordings were already circulating. One has an average sound but the complete intro & tuning and it was lossless. The other version had a better sound but was lossy and missed the beginning from the intro. The Maidenlane recording is interesting because for the first time it contains the 2nd encore which was missing in the other recordings and the sound is good. This show was recorded by Mr. Winchester, an associate of Maidenlane. As usual the tracks were edited and de-clicked and the sound amplified, rebalancing the channels and correcting the speed (accelerated by +1,3%). Note some short gap after several tracks but no music is lost and another at 6’18 in Goin’ South due tape flip where some seconds are lost: both fragments are now reconnected. This recording sounds nice although a bit saturated at times.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
