REVIEW: |
We are getting to the end of this series, volume twenty-three
presents the second show from New York’s Lonestar Roadhouse in mid-May 92.
Two recordings were
already circulating
but one of the versions was very saturated
with digital noises
and the other one was of average sound quality.
Maidenlane's recording is
the best one! All
songs have now been edited, the
recording de-clicked, amplified, both channels rebalanced (+15% to the left
channel for the 4 last tracks) and the speed corrected (decelerated by -1%).
Note a gap after You
Don’t Miss Your Water due to the tape flip but no music is lost. This is a
special concert with a bunch of tracks rarely played by Mick Taylor, special
mention for Otis Redding You Don’t Miss Your Water and Jimmie Wood & The
Immortals Teresa; the output is excellent and this is another great discovery
of this series.
