REVIEW: |
In this new series dedicated to Mick Taylor are shown the result of mixes
and merges which will be similar to the Frankenstein productions; in this
concert the l
ine-up
was: Mick Taylor on guitar, Jon Young on vocals, keyboards and congas, Wayne
Hamin on bass and Mike Cullen on drums.
Recording information: from taper’s master coming from a Sony WMD-3 recorder
(using included clip-on stereo mic). A
recording of this show was already published (
The Maidenlane
Alternates – Vol 01), but this is a merged version of 2 sources
.
It has been noticed
that the mixture of these 2 sources at times gave interesting results.
One of the 2 sources
(or both) weren’t running at correct speed, so this release presents a work done
in small chunks of 30 seconds. In this
merged version
on left channel the
previous source used for FP 043 and on right channel the Maidenlane source. The
end results shows a more marked stereo separation and an excellent sound.
