The line-up for this gig was Mick Taylor on guitar and vocals, Jimmy Wood on vocals, harmonica and guitar, Jimmy King on guitar and backing vocals, Greg Boaz on bass and backing vocals and David Salinas on drums, unknown sax player on You Shook Me.
This one is not widely circulating, the sound is unfortunately saturated and there is nothing that could be done about that,
however this recording is still listenable. In
I m Leaving You and You Don t Miss Your Water were both
cut in two parts, now both songs have been rebuilt. Shake Your Hips which lasts almost 17 minutes and Cairo Motel are incomplete probably due to the limitations of the media used by the taper.
Shake Your Hips started abruptly and so a fade in was added, same for Cairo Motel but here the track has been faded out. The 1992-3 version of Mick Taylor band was quite different from the ones before and after because it had some members (Jimmy Woods, Jimmy King) that brought their own compositions and their playing is not only to support Taylor; it is really a pity that no official recording exists of songs like Badmouth Mama,
Hoodoo Thing, How It Feels, You Don t Miss Your Water (Otis Redding), Teresa, Cairo Motel etc.
Mick Taylor s work is really great here and the backing band is very good: so,
despite the problems mentioned before, this is a
must have for every Taylor fan.
