REVIEW:

This is a series of rare Mick Taylor guesting with the Ben Waters Band from 2012 in preparation for Ian Stewart Tribute concert; strangely Mick Taylor was not among those that participated to the sessions for the album that came out on April 2011. Anyway the l ine-up for this gig consists of Mick Taylor on guitar and vocals, Ben Waters   on piano and vocals, Richard Hymas on bass and vocals, Ady Milward on drums and backing vocals and Chris Rand on sax.
For this show 5 different versions where available, all coming from 2 sources. the best one was selected, recorded by OW with a mini disk recorder, in excellent sound but with some minor defaults: Therefore some patches coming from the other source were used to complete the project (after a small sound upgrade the result has been very good): 1) 30 first seconds for the intro, 2) on Roomin House Boogie a 3 seconds patch was added to delete the gap at 3’09, 3) a 30 seconds patch inserted between Sugar Bee and Oreo Cookie Blues was added, 4) on What d I Say were removed digital noises from 1’25 to 1’29 and from 2’55 until 3’05
The transitions between the songs beginnings/ends have been reworked and the artwork for the covers   created(the photo-montage used comes from a video of this show). Sound output is very good, Mick Taylor starts playing from Track 10 on Disc One, after being duly introduced. This is a nice show with very enjoyable music recorded in quite high quality, a real treasure especially for those that love this type of music.
