REVIEW:

This vinyl album presents two Soundtracks for two of Kenneth Anger's films, the first was commissioned by Kenneth Anger to Mick Jagger who was involved in films and soundtracks in 1968 and was experimenting with a moog synthesizer. Not sure of Jagger commitment as far as we can hear from this track that is just him experimenting on this instrument repeating the same phrase over and over. The 12 minutes instrumental was officially released on a German Metal compilation double cd few years ago but it is the first time it comes out on vinyl bootleg. The rest of Side A presents 4 outtakes by Jimmy Page to construct an instrumental soundtrack and one song that was eventually used for the Death Wish score. Side B the whole 23 minutes of finished effort. Page bought Tower House in London where William Burgess started his gothic revival and started working on this soundtrack, but was eventually fired by Kenneth Anger when he couldn't complete it in a timely manner. In the 80s a clear blue vinyl album came out with it on, just 1000 copies. Here it is together with some rehearsals. Page plays all instruments including the theremin; musically speaking this piece of music is little more than Jagger playing the moog as there is just one theme repeated over and over. It must be said that in 2007 two DVD sets came out officially with K.Angers soundtracks though. This album has surprisingly been released in 500 numbered copies, just die hard collectors would venture into buying it, but it is however well packed in a bizarre cover that feature Anger on front  and trackllistings that are in accordance with the type of music available inside.
