REVIEW:

Charlie Watts fun band the ABC of Boogie featuring Dave Green on double bass, Axel Zwingenberger and Ben Waters on piano was the house band during early March 2011 on the two Boogie 4 Stu concerts in London where some other guests joined: Mick Taylor, Bill Wyman, Ron Wood, Maxwell Hamish, Mick Hucknall, Jools Holland etc. Boogie Woogie as it was played by Rocket 88, the group Ian Stewart played together with Charlie Watts on his off days when they were not involved in Stones activities. This release presents more than one source, the first is shot from a distance through track 11 with songs separation and good audio though audience comments are very audible, the second is shot very close to the stage but has great audio output through track 14, then tracks 21 and 23 the last one which features Ben Webster solo on piano. The third source was shot from above the stage presenting more stage action although has less definition than the previous one and worse audio. A fourth one comes in from track 18 and 21, being shot from front of stage again with muddy   audio, but it is interesting as we can see all the interchange between Ron Wood and Mick Taylor on guitar. Lastly one featured in track 22 which presents a medley of the songs played starting in black & white but in colour from 2.43 minutes that includes band members introduction and part of "Down The Road Apiece". Because of these many sources it is hard to say if they all come from the 1st or 2nd show, anyway all are different from the previously reviewed DVD of similar name (Boogie 4 Stu).
