REVIEW: |
This is the
first double blu ray release I ve seen so far and includes all Ronnie Wood tv
Shows originally broadcasted on UK Sky Arts plus some extra stuff for a total
of
almost 7 hours viewing in High
Definition, everything has been remastered. All episodes are complete with the
omission of ads that were broadcasted midway of any show; for people that do
not know them, Ronnie Wood presented his tv broadcast after the great success
he had on Absolute radio, inviting some musical friends, chatting with them,
occasionally playing some guitar over the songs he picked to play and mostly
telling funny anecdotes reminiscing his rock and roll career
Actually the tv shows are some of the radio
shows that have been filmed, heavily edited (some episodes lasted 2 hours) and
contrary to the radio version of the show most of the played songs are cut or
are talked over for time constriction, it is anyway interesting to listen to
favourites from great names of music and of course their recollections of past
times. For some reason the Slash episode has a much higher volume than the rest
of episodes. The quality of the extras is very good including the live concert
tracks, so this is a nice release that presents the Ronnie Wood shows in superb
quality altogether.
