REVIEW:

This series documents Ron Wood solo US Tour in 1992 to promote his album Slide On This; the band’s line up consisted of : Ron Wood on guitar, vocals and harmonica, Bernard Fowler on vocals, Ian McLagan on keyboards, backing vocals, Johnnie Lee Schell on guitar, Shaun Solomon on bass, Wayne P. Sheehy on drums and as special guest Chuck Leavell on keyboards from October 28 through November 4.

For this show two sources were available: an audience recording and 4 tracks recorded by US FM WHCN Hartford aired on an unknown date. This concert came out on 2 cdr sets: New Britain The Sting 28-10-92 and Slide On At The Sting (Rockin’ Rott). The soundboard part was taken from Whisky And Cigs (TSP 154) whose covers are included in these files, however it must be said that TSP 154 is also the catalog number for Pretty Beat Up from the same label, that had the 92 New York Electric Ladyland show and since we did not find any mention online of Whisky and Cigs disc, it can be assumed to have been a cdr release from someone that copied the label logo and home-made it. However, from these tracks it appeared evident that the audience recording had to be decelerated by -3,9%.

Therefore, it has been decided to offer the complete audience recording plus the radio broadcast. As for the audience source the version that was lossless was used. The channels had to de balanced (+30% to the right channel) with the exceptions of the last five tracks. A big noise in Flying at 2’13 was deleted and patched with the lossy version. Note a fade in/out before Show Me [Groove]. The audience portion of this release is really good and the FM tracks too, so it is a real pleasure listening to both.
