REVIEW:

This is yet another release coming from Steve ballsdeep Hagar recordings that presents both dates from Portland 1998. These gigs were released at first on some cdr called as Rose Garden and We Never Promised You A Rose Garden, then by VGP, the first one as Already Over Me (VGP 197) and as Stone Age (Rabbit Records 026/27), while the second came out at first as an Untitled cdr, then as Bridges to Oregon (Satisfaction Guaranteed 049-50) and then Bridges to Oregon (VGP 171) and Live at Rose Gardens (SRS rec.) and recently Bridges to Rose Garden a 4 cdr set from Exile (EXCDR-1998BTRG01A-D . From a technical standpoint the 97-99 tours have been among the best played tours in the Stones career, the setlist were also well balanced offering lots of new songs and missing a couple of warhorses (Midnight Rambler and You Can t Always Get What You Want). The first recording here starts with some fidelity problems, but then develops into a beautiful sound experience documenting a great night. The second concert s recording starts instead at full gear offering a great show very well recorded.
