REVIEW:

The second show the Stones played in 1982 in Torino saw the band replicate the previous day afternoon concert that was played so because of the Football Championship due to be played on that night. As is well known Jagger foresaw the exact match result and on the second night the band was introduced by the Italian fresh World Champion Claudio Gentile, an event that was also broadcasted live on Italian tv, another reason why the concert start was quite delayed; further after Let s Spend The Night Together the goals of the previous night match are shown on the stage screen, something that helps excite the audiences even more.

This concert was released at first just on tape and cdr as Campioni del Mondo, Torino 1982, Torino a Go Go, Turin 1982 Part Two (APP 118) and Turin Stadio Comunale 12-7-1982; in 2004 it came out in Japan as part of   Torino 1982 a 4 no label professional cdr set and also as on Campioni del Mondo (GOVB 021-22) a 2 cdr set. On vinyl it seems to have come out on an album called Midnight Concert, which is something that however has not been verified. Fratelli d’Italia also being   the first words of the Italian national anthem is the name of this release from Eat a Peach which presents for the first time this release on silver disc, this recording is excellent despite some echo heard mainly on Watts drums that resonate a bit, although it seems to be running a tad too fast to me. Contrary to all the other European 82 shows this time the Outro is an instrumental version of the Italian hymn truly recorded here while the fireworks crack the night sky.
