REVIEW:

The Stones concert in Atlanta on their 1975 tour is the subject of this release, following Live in Hot Lanta (Tarantura TCDRS 9) the very first silver release of this concert. On tape it was released as Atlanta 1975 and Georgia On My Mind later on cdr as Atlanta 75, The Omni and then Atlanta 75 Remaster. So contrary to Live in Hot Lanta which was a merge of two different audience sources, the first a very good one that has the majority of songs and the second one which is less good out of which just some songs have been used (Honky Tonk Women, Midnight Rambler and Rip This Joint and the first two of these do have speed problems too) this release presents a stereo version.

This source is the one that features slightly before the clock striking the 2nd minute during Honky Tonky Women a tape warp that really affects the music almost cancelling it completely (a similar thing happens on All Down The Line, Gimme Shelter, Fingerprint File and Brown Sugar though less pronounced); luckily from Gimme Shelter onwards the sound output improves constantly. But there is a small cut at the end of You Can t Always Get What You Want. On a musical note it must be said that there is impressive playing from Bill Wyman through It s Only Rock n Roll which ends Disc One, but overall the band plays really well, so we can call this the best release of this concert so far.
