REVIEW:

This release present the Stones concert in Hamburg from 1970 for the first time out on vinyl; the luxury packaging can be selected among three basic sets that offer different velvet all in green vinyl (see Packaging); however the track listing on cover is almost all wrong. This concert first came out first as Let It Rock! (Hot Lips Rec. HLR-RS-001) in stereo but missing Live With Me in a limited edition compact disc of 500 copies; four years later The Prodigal Son s Mother Europe Tour (VGP 061) was released with the whole concert in good audience recording; on the cdr market the concert came out as Spontaneous Combustion and in 2005 a new source was released as Let It Rock in Hamburg (DAC 012) but again in mono. Love in Vain from this concert can be found on Mick Taylor May I Have a record Contract (MT 23001 Kay Records) which came out in Italy in 1984 and later in 1992 released with the same title on compact too (CDJ4) with 4 bonus tracks from Leeds 71. The recording comes from master tape and presents a nice complete version of the concert though in mono; there is a tape change at the end of Midnight Rambler, Side B ending with useless audience noise and the beginning of Live With me, another sign together with the mistakes on track listing of that careless attitude we identified many times in the past WLR products with…

However Side D presents well known Olympic Studios tracks as fillers..
