REVIEW:

A really unique compilation of stray TV appearances and rare concert footage by both the band and it's individual band members.  The quality here overall is very good with the live concert footage being low generation.

The Fillmore East footage is going to be probably the most interesting selling point here.  Though the footage has been in circulation, this is an excellent vehicle in which to obtain a nice copy along with the rest of this material.  It is rumored that Bruce Springsteen was in the audience on this very evening!  Take that for what it's worth.  The performance is pretty laid back (no pun intended!).  The show is pro-shot but the initial shots are from some pretty unsteady camera guys and Greg Allmans' mike doesn't even seem to be on!  Vintage footage that is always interesting to watch though.

The other cool segement is the '73 TV Special hosted by Bill Graham.  A rare half hour of the band in their commercial prime.  On the flipside, their "comeback" TV debut on Solid Gold is just plain bizarre.

Without a doubt, fans and collectors of the Allman Brothers should pick this budget label production.  Well worth it for the above.
