REVIEW:

Say what you will about these cheeseball – actually, I like the titular “clueless” best, by that’s just me -- UK popsters. They’re still massive, and 50 kazillion Coldplay fans (plus Gwyneth Paltrow) can’t be wrong, eh? Here, they play all the hits and more on the A Rush Of Blood To The Head  tour before an adoring Texas crowd. The show was originally broadcast over Houston’s 94.5 KTBZ-FM (“The Buzz”) station, so the bootlegger decided to nick 94.5 as the label name too.

Then a few nights later Chris Martin and Jon Buckland played a 7-song acoustic set and did interviews for a small, private audience of radio station contest winners at the Martini Ranch nightclub in Scottsdale, AZ. Hosted by KZON disc jockey Dave Pratt, four of the seven songs were subsequently broadcast on Feb. 10.

Great sound and good packaging here – 4-page booklet and two-sided tray panel with color photos, nothing extraordinary but it’ll keep the punters happy. Note that the rear of the panel bears the 94.5 logo as if the label were trying to pass it off as an official radio station release. Nice touch, gents. -- OSWALD
