REVIEW:

This is a peculiar release for some reasons: first of all it is not a bootleg but rather a pirate, since it is a copy of an official album released in 1972 by Bobby Keys, the tenor sax player better known for his endless cooperation with the Stones both live and in the studio. But Bobby Keys started his career at fifteen years of age playing with Bobby Vee and Buddy Holly and has played with lots of famous musicians (BB King, The Who, G.Harrison, J.Lennon, The Faces,Joe Cocker etc.). Another thing is that this album has been unavailable for decades in its original vinyl format, it is hard to trace a copy nowadays, and it comes from a vinyl copy as some crackles can be heard at the end of each song. This release comes on Mid Valley Records, a label that is dedicated to the work of Eric Clapton either by himself or playing with other musicians and this is a clear indication of the guitarist playing in here, together with Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Jack Bruce, Nicky Hopkins, Dave Mason and many others. The music performed is quite good: bluesy, rocking and definitely broad in range: mostly it is pretty funky with obvious overtone on brass sounds.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
