From the
accompanying liner notes: “This was posted on IORR on Dec. 20th, 2020 as a thank
you to everybody who filled its forums with life in the last year, especially to
bv, who provided that platform! No need to tell that 2020 was so diffrent from
all the years before. IORR gave us a little distraction from the extraordinary
days we went through. To end this year with positive attitude here is another
little christmas gift, 2 tracks reworked with great help from StonyRoad:
Run Rudolph Run
& Let's Go Steady from the New Barbarians soundcheck on April 29th 1979.
The recording date is not 100% guaranteed, because the source tape was unlabelled.2
Here we have these
two tracks that are pleasant to listen to, unfortunately not sufficient to
create a full cd, but however relevant due to their sound quality. Run Run
Rudolph volume has been amplified and rebalanced and dropout fixed, while Let’s
Go Steady background noise has been reduced; there is a nice artwork available in
PDF format which unfortunately has a couple mistakes, since these tracks were
part of a soundcheck and do not come from any rehearsal and then noise (written
with a c instead of an s), but certainly these minor imperfection won’t prevent
any enjoyment by all the fans and possibly by some bootleg label.
