The New Barbarians tour in California continued in San Diego, of this recording there were a couple of different ones for this show; it has been released as San Diego 22 May 1979 (Rockin’ Rott),  San Diego (Lizard Lounge 002), 6 tracks on The Drug Dealers Tape Vol.1 (E.Valley 196-200) but the best one is the Mike Millard recording released by JEMS (Vol 154) in 2022 and this is the one used here. Not much to do here except for de-clicking and reworking the transitions between each track that now starts with a song. However, it is known that there was a tape misalignment throughout but especially on Before They Make Me Ruin and on the first 3 minutes of Jumpin’ Jack Flash, especially audible on Keith Richards guitar, apart from that it is possible to enjoy most likely the best audience recording of the tour.

It must also be said that Disc One is too log to fit in 80 minutes and thus Apartment No.Nine had to be moved to Disc Two, this way the back cover tracks listing is incorrect. This is by far the longest concert of the tour, the setlist being the same of the last concerts, but some songs are longer and here the band plays really well too.
